Seymour Scintillation – Stunning Split-Level Home on Seymour Street

Located on Seymour Street in Gore, this split-level house embodies a fusion of entertainment and optimised vistas, strategically positioned on a sloping section overlooking the majestic Mataura River and the undulating hills that embrace it.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic Central Otago Pavilion style, the architectural design revolves around a central, north-facing kwila entertainment zone, basking in sunlight throughout the day and extending its allure well into the evening with artfully placed exterior lighting elements.

Spanning two distinct levels, the upper floor welcomes guests through a defined entrance flanked by lemon trees, setting the stage for an entertainment-centric experience. Here, an expansive open-plan living area seamlessly transitions to the outdoor deck, capitalising on panoramic views.

The pitched raised ceiling, adorned with thermally broken aluminium window frames and premium glazing, accentuates the east-facing window, inviting natural light to flood the space.

The kitchen, a focal point of culinary excellence, boasts granite countertops and a matching splashback, seamlessly integrating with the dining area while concealing a discreet butler’s pantry.

Adjacent to this hub of gastronomic delight lies a spacious office and an internal access garage with laundry facilities, ensuring convenience and functionality on the primary living level.

A striking timber-slatted stairwell beckons exploration, guiding inhabitants to the upper realm, which houses four generously sized double bedrooms, including a luxurious master suite with its own ensuite.

The interior ambiance is meticulously curated, employing a warm colour palette complemented by pendant light fixtures, brushed brass tapware gracing vessel basins, arched mirrors, and a judicious selection of natural wood accents and opulent bathroom tiles, culminating in a harmonious and sumptuous living environment.
